Hope & Renewal

Ever hopeful our little band of Conrad, Ashok, Magpie 11, Marianna, Ramana and little old me, return once more with renewed vigour to take on the topic of

Hope & Renewal

chosen by our leader, the Good Chief Conrad!

As you all know I have been incarcerated detained hospitalised for several days this week while the shock absorber was replaced. Indeed I am hoping that as this post* goes live to be back home in my comfortable chair with Elly bowing and scraping dancing attendance to my every whim and need.

* I bribed the Good Chief Conrad into deciding early the topic for today. I did not want to let a little thing like a hip replacement, cause me to be evicted from the LBC. So as with all the posts this week and in true Blue Peter fashion, here is a post I prepared earlier… (The show was famous for its “makes”, which were demonstrations of how to construct a useful object or prepare food. These have given rise to the oft-used phrase “Here’s one I made earlier”, as presenters bring out a perfect and completed version of the object they are making — a phrase credited to Christopher Trace.)

What is hope……………..
What hope means

Hope is bright shining light which keeps darkness at the bay
Hope is gentle cold breeze on a hot summer day

Hope is to remain positive when going gets tough
hope is seeking more when others think u had enough

What hope means

Hope is dreaming of tomorrow
Hope is simmering under sorrow

Hope is sparkles when tears in our eyes
Hope is a beautiful thing & beautiful things never dies

What hope means

Hope is as light as a feather
Hope keeps all of us together

Hope is ubiquitous and free of cost
hope is the last thing ever lost…..

~ Vineet Bansal

I am now hoping that a feeling of renewal will wash over me as I adjust to having two legs the same length once more; and that by Christmas, the pain in walking and moving about, will be a long forgotten memory.

Watch out the TOYBOYS!

Thank You

I know that there were many prayers offered,

candles lit and

thoughts in my direction over the last few days.

Thank you one and all.

Please be patient with me as I become accustomed to the foreign object that now lives within my body.

I’m hoping the winter will be kind.

Remember it is Friday…. I think!  So come join the LBCers at 5pm my time.
