Music

My day in music begins with Glenn Miller & James Last to get me moving and speed up the housework.  After elevenses Salsa or World of Tango help with exercise to keep me fit and mobile.  The remainder of the day is pick and mix depending on my mood.

What do you listen to?

Any recommendations to add to my list?

Musicals are quite fun as well, I find. There are some macabre ones (Les Mis, Sweeney Todd) but there are lots which are very fun and light too, like Anything Goes or Fiddler on the Roof. 🙂

Tommy – Sweeney Todd I must try, I love Les Mis – Bring Him Home being my favourite number. I do like Anything Goes & Fiddler on the Roof and Whistle down the Wind is one I love to listen to… ‘No matter what…’ Now I am off for a walk humming away!

Withe Glen Miller to start the day off, what more do you want? You might occasionally try to start with Billy Vaughn. Mayo may be interested in the Baby elephant walk by Henri Mancini, in his present state of mind. If you think appropriate, you may inform of my recommendation.

I listen to old Hindi film songs now a days. Rarely but when I do, that is it.

GOM, love the “Baby Elephant Walk”. Soon I hope to walk like that, with butt swaying back and forth. I hope to walk a mile today.
    Grannymar, slowly of course.

Kate – All that is missing is the glass of sherry! The only time I would thank you for a sherry is while I am preparing Sunday lunch or an evening meal.

Ramana – Glen Millers ‘In the Mood’ always sets my feet tapping, and James Lasts Non Stop Dancing is the best way to shift cobwebs.

Mayo – Remember you have to have to walk back again, so stop before you have to!

WWW – I will have to check out The Travelling Willburys, I am not familiar with them.

Carlos Nakai Canyon Trilogy is my favorite although I also like swing music. I find that any music that has ever had words put to it distracts me because I keep thinking the words.
