I am a little confused…

Well the state of the world and Ireland in particular right now is enough to confuse a Saint!

To clear my head I went out for a walk yesterday.

I did need to check out some bus times.  No!  Don’t tell me to check the website it is pure unadulterated C**p!  I think so. Other would-be customers think so.  The bus drivers think so and the bus Inspectors think so.  I have been told on good authority that the guys in the Complaints department of the bus company don’t even know how the website is supposed to work!!  They have bus times in there for buses that do not exist!

I spoke to a group of drivers and they told me not to phone in for advice either as the folk on the phones make up the times as they go along.  Added to that, buses for my area leaving Belfast, can begin their journeys from four different places!!!

I may have reason to go to Belfast on several occasions in the next few weeks.  Early starts will be in order.  To be sure of arriving at my destination for 9.30am I will need to be on the 7.45am bus!  Are you listening body??

Once armed with the bus times I decided to venture further.  I saw a Christmas tree all lit up inside the window of a small house….  let me check… it is still November, right?  No wonder people in Northern Ireland take down decorations and trees on Boxing day!

Then I found this:

Which is it?  A €uro car wash or a GB£ car wash?

Maybe you should have stayed inside yesterday. LOL Do they not have the paper/book timetables any more? As for the Euro crisis I am still scratching my head as to where this £70B is coming from. I thought we were in a recession. You know the lady that found that ming vase that went for £50million? Apparently the government gets £20million in tax. maybe other people have found some Ming vases in their roof space recently 🙂

Could you start a global campaign against the Ulsterbus timetable site, what a shambles, absolute s***e as you would say, but in a more polite manner.

I would say those who designed and wrote it never travel by bus nor do they understand those who do.

We pensioners need this facility to stay mobile, I am praying that the bus pass in RoI is not revoked in their mad frenzy of saving, maybe I will just drop Brian a note – or maybe not, he has enough on his mind at the moment.

You are not talking about the Belfast – Dublin bus are you? If you are you have my sympathy as i have taken quite a few confused punters to their pick up points.

That said one of the services Airbus is supposed to stopping this route at the end of november!

RG – Do you want the bad news first? You and every other householder in GB & NI are loaning them £300.00 😯 Good news I found a hard copy timetable for the bus times. 😀

Sam – Maybe it was a first time experiment for the designer. They would have been better sticking with Duplo! 👿

BTD – No way! A three hour journey by car door to door, would take me about seven hours using buses and or trains. 🙁

As you know, I’m now travelling to Newtownards from Belfast and I have to go by car as the bus would take at least twice as long and not drop me anywhere near my destination. NI bus services leave a lot to be desired.

Nick – I am listening to some Minister on the radio talking about getting people off disability benefit and back to work. They need to sort out the transport first to make it possible for the people to get there!

Alice – You are correct. I think we need to draw a line under the past and start all over again!
