Banana & Toffee Brûlée
Letting a packet of biscuits fall is one way to develop a new recipe!!
75g Caramalised Biscuits, crushed
150ml toffee yogurt
2 bananas, sliced
2 tablespoons Demerara sugar
Preheat the grill to hot.
Divide the biscuit crumb between 4 x 150ml ramekins and press down. Spoon over half the yogurt, then layer with bananas and cover with the remainder of the yogurt.
Smooth over the top and sprinkle with sugar. Place on a baking tray and out under grill for 1 or 2 minutes till sugar caramelises – don’t leave any longer or the yogurt will overheat. Leave to cool, then refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
This recipe seems a little complicated to me. BUT,it also sound delicious, so please make it in your kitchen and FED EX to me ASAP.
Nancy – 😉 It is on the way! 😆
those bickies wouldn’t live long enough in my house to be crushed. LOL.
WWW – those bickies never last long in this house either. Handing round a plate of crumbs with coffee somehow does not work, thus the new dessert.
The recipe looks delicious. By the way, are you going to join the crowd, and go to see our President O’Bama?
Betty – I live in Northern Ireland where we had 70mph gales today, so unfortunately I was unable to join the throng in Dublin. Alas the Volcanic Ash from Iceland is due to hit our airspace tomorrow so the O’Bamas (note the new spelling!) have already left for London.
Cheaters chopsticks but what an awesome idea. Although I’ve never seen Toffee yoghurt here . . I’m on a hunt for it, as of NOW
Baino – Over here yoghurt is sold in many flavours.
I’m sposing the biscuits are what we call cookies?
Alice – Right answer, go to the top of the class and hand out the pencils! 😀
