Openings ~ 10

At the mouth of the Six Mile water opening into Lough Neagh at Antrim.

The photo was taken on a dull and wet September morning.  The day improved as it grew older and at times we saw a bright object in the sky!  The link above is well worth checking out, it is a new one to me!

You are a wonderful spokesperson for the wonders of Northern Ireland,GM.

You have made me wish I could call the airline and book a ticket to Belfast ASAP . I would love that boat ride on Lough Neagh.

BTW, how do you pronounce the name of that Lake?

Patty – I am indeed fortunate. For a small island, Ireland has much to offer.

Ramana – Now that you say it I saw a red flash too!

Ashamed to say I haven’t been to Lough Neagh very often, even though it’s so spectacular and so close. It would be fun to go rowing on the lough.

Nick – The water of the Lough can be deceptive and very choppy at times. A couple of years ago I saw the boys from Massereene Barracks returning in their rowing boat and wondered if they were preparing for a race.

northernmum – Welcome to my blog. The Lough looks different each time I visit. It all depends on the clouds, the sunshine or the wind.
