Cows

Tilly The Laughing Housewife left a comment on my recent post showing an upsidedown cow over an entrance,

It made me think.  I am in the fortunate position of having green fields within a mile or two, no matter what road I travel from home.

Right now the fields might have some sheep in them, but certainly no cows.  The latter are now kept indoors for the winter.

Suddenly the image of cows wearing furry slippers, listening to iPods whilst eating Mince pies (the sweet variety) and drinking hot port came to mind!

I think I need a day job!

There milk is highly prized this time of year because of their port consumption. That is why the farmers indulge them with the slippers and iPods – although they do try to keep them from listening to rap music. It curdles the milk.

You should paint those images. They remind me of the magnetic mini-art of the sheep hanging to dry on the clothesline…that someone in Ireland gave me and now hangs on my refrigerator. I shudder at the other image I have as I read Conrad’s comment–about milk curdling listening to rap.

Conrad – It didn’t take long for the holiday mood to set in, are you at the Port already? I’ll survive your comment since I like neither milk nor rap!

Alice – Thomas Joseph certainly brings humour into his pieces.

    WWW – 😆

Tilly – Not sure the neighbours would appreciate me leading Cowslip on a daisy chain, for her daily dander through the local park!
