Favourite drink: Good coffee
Favourite number: 10
Favourite Colour: Cornflour Blue
Favourite movie: 84 Charring Cross Road
Favourite dessert: Not sure I remember dessert.
Where you hope to be in 10 years: Hopefully still getting out of bed unaided and chasing Toyboys!
Furthest place you will send this message: You tell me
i spent 5 plus years in Africa, and the opportunity to ride and elephant evaded me also. Maybe someday you will get that opportunity offered to you. All I can say is—–HANG ON!!!!!
I thought your favorite colour was Red Top Red!
Mayo – Is that to hang on for the opportunity or to the elephant?
Red Top – If the red is in a bottle and drinkable, I’m game!
From the Xs, I conclude that you are a very adventurous and normal person. There is still time for you to achieve your ambition in the next ten years which could include India as the farthest place to visit, and you may of course extend it to Australia if some other blogger friends insist!
I’ve visited Africa, shot a gun, flown in a helicopter…makes me sound like Bond, James Bond. More like Blonde, Dyed Blonde.
I think “cornflour blue” is what the crayola company named their crayon “Periwinkle”. My daughter painted her room a deep shade of it, and it is beautiful!
I might have to steal this and make my own list. 🙂
Ramana – Who knows where the next ten years will take me, some days I would like to do my version of Shirley Valentine and take off with a one way ticket…..
Tilly – Or should that be Blonde Tilly? You are way ahead of me, although I never want to shoot a gun, I wouldn’t mind trying the others.
Delirious – Steal away, I posted it here rather than sending it as emails to people, this way those who want to, can play with it.
Yeah, I shot a gun and skipped school, sang in public, had many, many pets, still do, swam nekkid in the freezing Irish Atlantic ocean and recommend it, fished, went to a drive-in movie when my babies were small and would sleep through it all……..
Regrets?
None.
Can’t wait for more items on the list…
XO

That was fun. Your downhill skiing experience sounds a lot like mine: I never made it to the top because the rope lift kept sliding through the flimsy gloves I was wearing. What I spent most of my time doing was learning how to get up with long thingies strapped to my feet, and a new technique for walking downhill in deep snow.
Ah, but a checklist is not a life. What really makes you the individual you are is how you experienced all those things and what effect they had on you….
Somehow it surprises me that you’ve never sung a solo or duet in public.
WWW – Go do them girl!
Alice – I spent most of my time laughing so much I was unable to stand up!
Nick – I had a sing along voice, now the singing part is totally gone. Pity, because I would have loved to be a REAL singer.
Grannymar, if we have done one thing more than what would be considered normal, can we borrow from that to check something else? The reason I’m asking is that I did a quite a bit of skinny-dipping outdoors in my twenties.
Tee O – Is skinny dipping the only thing you can mark off the list? Surely as part of your excavation work you have travelled?
True, I have and I have flown in a helicopter – even piloted one – and flown in a hot air balloon. But, I sing so poorly that I thought I should probably remove some of the other checkmarks.
I also thought the “had children” was a tough question for a guy.
Tee O – Now a hot air balloon is one form of travel I would love to try. As for children.. do I remember correctly? Did you say you have children? If so, then perhaps you did make a contribution.
I was there when it happened! Enthusiastic, even.
I had always wondered how they directed Hot Air balloons. Turns out the air currents flow different directions at different altitudes, so the pilot raises and lowers the balloon to change direction. That’s why they are seldom used in hurricanes.
Tee O – Glad to hear you made a personal appearance!
The different air currents, do they still throw sand over the side to raise the balloon to a higher altitude?
No. They just cranked up the propane heater. At least, I think it was propane.
Tee O – Maybe I watched too many Movies!
