Light blogging from me this week.
I am rather busy
I had great fun catching up with Steve. We met about 10 years ago when Elly moved to live & work in Dublin. Then five years later at Elly & Georges wedding, he was a Grooms man with special responsibilities: – To look after Grannymar for the day. He did a wonderful job on that day and we remain the best of friends ever since. I do hope his lap has recovered from my weight. The evening was drawing in so Elly threw the throw/blanket at us to keep my knees warm.
Gaelikaa/Maria with me at Howth harbour with Ireland’s eye in the background.
Maria and I met up for a couple of hours early in the week and had a good old girlie chinwag. Later I had the opportunity to meet Mr Gaelikaa and all the family. It was great to hear about Maria’s life in India since she moved there to live.
Having fun at George & Elly’s BBQ
George, his sister and Elly.
Thanks to the good friend to invited my sister and I for dinner this evening. It was a great way to finish a busy day.
I did have some more photos, but alas due to several blips in the internet connectivity last night and today the photos are still in my camera and phone! 🙁
I am hoping to slip into the shade of the back row this week and leave you in the hands of Anu, Delirious, Maxi, Maria/Gaelikaa, Maria SilverFox, OCD writer, Padmum, Paul, Ramana, Shackman speaks, The Old Fossil, Will Knott..
See you next week!
What a nice week you are having! You seem to be very good at planning activities that include lots of friends.
Delirious – It is all go. People. I love meeting people, those from the past and those who are the present and some who will be our future. From new babies to a funeral for senior, catching up with the guy who took me to my graduation dance…. all life is here this week.
Hangin’ with the guy who took you to the graduation dance; you do get around, Grannymar. It’s so pleasant to read that you’re enjoying yourself.
Blessings – Maxi
That most certainly was not a light week. I would rate it rather heavy for someone whose normal life is finding openings in strange places!
Nice to hang with those you love, huh? Another good reason to love generously!
Lovely to see you cementing more connections across the blogosphere.
The fun continues….. At this rate I may never return home!! 😉
Having read Gaelika/Maria for several years now, it was especially fun to see you with her. You look lovely as usual, but she was much shorter than I’d imagined, and her hair was so much shorter. Funny the pictures you form in your mind that are different than what you formed in reading!
Alice – Maria is shorter than I had thought, but her hair on the day was pulled back in a ponytail. It was great to catch up with another blogger. Now I can say I have met bloggers from Lucknow, India to Utah in the US!
Impressive. I’ve met only two so far, you of course and a blogger living in Cedar Key Florida, un old stomping ground when I was growing up. It’s nice to have a personality to go with the writings.
Alice – I agree with you about having a personality to go with the writing. As I read your posts, in my head I hear your voice.
