Openings ~ 44

During the week I took my feet and camera for a dander through the grounds of Antrim Castle grounds. A long slow and tasteful makeover has been in progress, over about two-three years. Still unfinished – the long canal has yet to be unveiled.

I love these little features and the pathways have been relayed with a non skid surface.

I love the the idea of the opening or archway being a frame to what we see beyond.

Look who I found lurking in a corner round the back of the building.

Do you think it is him?

Tilly – I love exploring to see what is behind a door or through an archway.

Ursula – He didn’t always look like that…. age has improved him!

Mike – I think I have a few wood sculptures deep in the bowels of my computer. I have an idea…..!

I too like the picture through the opening that in the distance seems to be an opening unfolding…as for him, certainly interesting “find” behind a wall…waiting.

Judy – A few more months should bring the work to completion. I cannot wait to see the fully restored long canal.

Cathy – There will be more such openings in the future.

What a perfectly lovely walk! I love those tunnel paths and archways! I suppose you didn’t see airy a wisp of the white lady ghost…seeing as how it was daylight and all.

Alice – No sign of Her Ladyship anywhere on my travels. It gives me the excuse to revisit. 😉

How I would love to be able to take that walk and share the beauty. And maybe a few words with “him” at the end.

Maxi – It would be wonderful to take you walking through the gardens. We might even lure ‘him’ to join us. 😉
