Blogging the alphabet ~ R

R – Relationships

I’ve always thought with relationships, that it’s more about what you bring to the table than what you’re going to get from it. It’s very nice if you sit down and the cake appears. But if you go to the table expecting cake, then it’s not so good.  ~ Angelica Huston

I like the last one. I think most of us have a tendency to want to put the world to rights, but it’s hard enough trying to put our own psyche to rights. We all need to relax a bit and stop poking our noses into 101 things we have absolutely no influence over.

Maxi & Nick – I know a few that the last quote would be appropriate for.

Ramana – Come back! please explain.

It’s that job as a middle manager of the universe that gets to me. 🙄

I’m looking forward to shackman in his new role. By the way, he isn’t asking for collections yet, is he? I’m pretty broke.

Fos – I am having trouble seeing the keyboard with the tears of laughter. Middle manager of the universe – I love it.

As for collections I hope shackman skips past me, it is bad enough that I sent Ramana off to bed all of a fluster, after telling him I hadn’t spent a penny for ten days! 🙄 I was talking about real money, the stuff the banks lost for about a month due to problems with their computers. I think I am almost back on track now.

    This is one of my favourites about relationships, attributed to the Dali Lama;

Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

Barbara – Compared to your blog, mine is very old fashioned! I am in the process of ‘thinking’ about updating it. 😉 At the the moment you can add my blog to an RSS feed by clicking on ‘Entries RSS’ way down on the left hand sidebar under the heading ‘Meta’

If you are still having problems, email me your landline phone number, and I’ll call you and walk you through it.

Aha…. See you’re miles ahead of me :-). I never got my head around RSS feeds! Thought they were something worth completely avoiding! This is a ‘WordPress’ blog isn’t it? I have one on Google too, I made it a few years ago to rant about people blocking the end of our road on their school run! WordPress has a professional feel about it, but it’s going to take me the summer to get my head around it! May well take you up on your blogger helpline offer!!

I love quotes they stick in my Aspie brain. Also less for me to read. Which is easier being dyslexic and all. I really like the second one.

“We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.”

Now I know I have Aspergers syndrome that is something I am learning to do for myself.
I like your blog, glad Tilly shared about you. xx 🙂

alienhippy – The blog world is a wonderful outlet for people with autism spectrum disorder. I have been fortunate to become friends on the blog and in real life, with members of the autism spectrum disorder family and because of them my life has been enriched.

I too love that quote: “We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.”

Alice – I am always fascinated at the way a short post can bring in so many comments. A dissertation is not needed for every post.
