Thursday Special ~ Purchased or Homemade?

Six year old Annie returns home from school and says she had her first family planning lesson at school.

Her mother, very interested, asks; “How did it go?”

I died of shame!” she answers.

“Sam from over the road, says that the stork brings babies. Sally next door said you can buy babies at the orphanage. Pete in my class says you can buy babies at the hospital.”

Her mother answers laughingly, “But that’s no reason to be ashamed.”

No, but I can’t tell them that we were so poor that you and daddy had to make me yourselves!

Thanks Ello for setting me straight, I thought I was found under a gooseberry bush!

Did you ever hear about the cultural exchange we Earthlings had with the inhabitants of Mars?

The discussion was “How are babies made on each planet?”

Mars went first and the judges were sent to the Martian Baby Making Factory to see the process. There was a long conveyor belt and as little baby bodies came down the line
workers on each side put eyes in and ears on and legs and arms until at the end of the line you had a finished beautiful baby.

Now they came to Earth. It was explained to the Martians that our process was a bit more delicate but to bear with us.

They arranged for a couple to have relations while the Martians looked on. Then, all the Martians began to laugh and when asked why they were laughing they said,
    “That’s how we make cars.”
