Do you wanna know a secret?

On the 8th of October 2010 we as a group wrote on the topic of Secrets. Back then it was chosen for us by Gaelikaa.

Will Knott, who at that time, had not joined our group, suggested the subject once more.

It is no secret that I was unable to publish my post on time for that October day  because poor Tobias had a bad virus and needed some TLC from Dr Elly.

One week Later I wrote my post and back dated it. It contained one sentence. Yes, just one sentence:

Almost a week late, but you know something….. I have no secrets

Today I do have many secrets, but if I were to share them here with you they would no longer be secrets. Those who confided in me would not alone be disappointed, but also feel that they could no longer trust me.

I value my friends and when they confide in me, I feel honoured. Their secrets remain just that, secrets and they will go with me to my grave.

I will share some news with you today, Rohit is back in the fold with us. His return was marked by his post last Friday, if you have not found it yet, then like the best supermarkets, you are offered two for the price of one! There have been many changes since he last blogged along with us so why not pop over to welcome him back, and then visit our other active members: Anu, Delirious, Maxi, Maria/Gaelikaa, Maria SilverFox, OCD writer, Padmum, Paul, Ramana, Rohit Shackman speaks, The Old Fossil, Will Knott.

Dianne – I don’t have much to share… maybe it means I lead a boring life!

Fos – Never worry, I won’t even tell Mayo about the hairy shirt! ;)

WWW – I would have to mix all the stories up, and by then even I would be confused!

Gigi – I have no time for gossip or gossipers.

    BWT – Do you think?

My natural impulse is to share everything with everyone and have no secrets, but obviously in practice that’s impossible. Firstly, because I would embarrass and mystify a lot of people with my own secrets, and secondly because secrets disclosed to me by others will always stay that way.

Debra – I knew a lady who liked to trade one secret for another. I wouldn’t play that game and one day she said to me “You play your cards very close to your chest!”. I took it as a compliment. She soon got bored and moved on.
