Touched

I was touched by this tale of a babies touch.

Less than two weeks after giving birth, Emma De Silva was hit by a car as she took her newborn for a walk. Yoshi her husband, was told his wife would either die or live with brain injuries for the rest of her life. What doctors didn’t count on, however, was the extraordinary connection between mother and child and the healing power of the baby’s touch.

Melissa Doyle follows the inspiring, powerful and emotional story.

I found this Sonnet about a baby’s touch and immediately wanted to share it.

There’s just so much about the human brain and mind we do not yet understand – stories like this certainly keep us searching for answers. Yep – that’s definitely a touching tale.

I have heard of similar incidents which were reversed. I heard of a baby who was doing poorly until they put it’s twin sibling in the same crib with it. The sickly baby immediately began to rally. I do believe in the power of touch!

Shackman – Once I saw this video, all other ideas for the topic evaporated.

Fossie – Some stories really touch your heart, this certainly touched mine.

    Maxi – It sure does.

Ramana – It would take a very cold heart, not to be moved by this story.

Delores – I remember the story of the twins, I think I even blogged about it. Thanks for reminding me.
