Thursday Special ~ Little Johnny Strikes Again

The teacher asked the class to use the word ‘fascinate’ in a sentence.

Molly put up her hand and said, ‘My family went to my granddad’s farm, and we all saw his pet sheep. It was fascinating.’

The teacher said, ‘That was good, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate, not fascinating’.

Sally raised her hand. She said, ‘My family went to see Rock City and I was ‘fascinated.’

The teacher said, ‘Well, that was good Sally, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate.’

Little Johnny raised his hand. The teacher hesitated because she had been burned by Little Johnny before…..She finally decided there was no way he could damage the word ‘fascinate’, so she called on him.

Johnny said, ‘My aunt Gina has a sweater with ten buttons, but her tits are so big she can only fasten eight.’

The teacher sat down and cried.

    I am sure I did send it to you, but I really can’t remember!! Dad sent me an email the other day, and I picked out this line;

    I dare not ask for improved memory, but for a growing humility when my memory seems to clash with the memories of others.

    I am worried about my memory at the moment, it really is dreadful. I hope it improves as I get my ME under control!

    Barbara – I was talking to your dad on the phone as your pings came through. I promised to send him some links… I better do it now before I forget! Wha? 😆

    Don’t try to force your memory – think exams – the more you tried to think of an answer the harder it got. Once outside the exam hall and you relaxed BINGO the answer came to you!
