Summer is here with a promise of good weather for the next five days! I am hoping the weather people are correct in their forecast. So a simple summer recipe today.
Raspberry Sauce
250g Raspberries
25g caster sugar
3 tablespoons white wine
Place all the ingredients in a food processor bowl, using the chopping blades.
Blend until smooth.
Serve warm or cold with fresh peaches or over ice cream!
Now what could be easier?
Hmmm…. Must get a food processor!
Have you considered publishing a book of your recipes?
Not so far. A food processor makes life easy. They are great for cakes, soups and a million other things!
I have wanted one for years, just never got round to getting one… I’m not such a keen cook to feel that it would be justified 🙁
I find it shortens preparation time for many dishes. I have mine 15+ years, not sure exactly, but Jack bought it for me. I think I have used my electric mixer only twice since then!
Barbara, tread carefully where food processors gather dust because a not so keen cook will not use them. For the above Raspberry Sauce, and most other simple jobs, like making soup, a simple blender will do. Or, to take it one step further for the real minimalist, and no electricity involved just a bit of wrist action: A ‘Mouli’ will do.
U
🙂 don’t worry, my kitchen is far too small for any more appliances!!
Leaving a reply is so much easier than before. Anyway, I love vanilla ice cream and will serve it as dessert with mandarin oranges on top to my friends this weekend. I have also tried it with crushed pineapple over it. Difficult to find raspberries here in Hawaii.
Yes, Commenting and responding to them is so much easier. I still have some work to do on the side bar.
I like the idea of crushed pineapple on the ice cream, although ice cream is not really on my radar with all that cream in it.
Sounds delicious and excellent for a summer evening. And I never need more than the flimsiest of excuses to have ice cream.
Simple and tasty, raspberries are a firm favourite for me.
Lol, Al didn’t tell you that he has a heart condition just like dads, so he is not allowed ice cream, especially with raspberry sauce!
Barbara, As my Granny, Nana’s mother, used to say: Heart conditions are very fashionable these days! (That was back in 1996!).
Do you mean 1996?
Barbara, My Granny, said that in 1966!
My mom used to serve Peach Melba with Raspberry Sauce . . . YUMMY!
Peach Melba is very simple, yet always sounds exotic.
This is just a test, GM, to see how to leave a comment on your new site, which I love, BTW!
Nance (Nancy) Yeah!, You are back. Now I will need to find a new use for vinegar to celebrate!!
