Q ~ Quackers.
Quentin, Quincey & Queenie Quackers never quite managed a quickstep in time.
Time for a free feed where the Sixmile water River joins Lough Neagh.
Evening calm as the sun sinks below the horizon at Lough Neagh.

That last ducks is out of step. He/she would never make it in the military.
He or she is a bit of a goose! 😉
And I would never make it as a zoologist
Al, it has taken this here city girl over thirty five years to know the difference. I still don’t know whether they are boys or girls!
They’re greylag geese, if they are pretty they’re boys.
Before Al gets in there…. Unlike humans!
I agree!
Well I knew it was a goose, too bad Al did not, although they are goose-stepping. Dianne
Dianne, they were goose stepping on hard icy ground.
Great goose picture. As for sexing geese, I’m not sure, but male ducks have a little curled up tail feather and females don’t. Geese too, you think? Of course Barbara might be read–girls are prettier!
…not “read”, “right!”
When the G8 is over, and the roads round me are opened once more, I’ll head to Lough Neagh for a bit of tailend study!! 😆
There’s something about feeding ducks that just makes you smile – they are great at making you think they’d never been fed in all their lives.
Watch you don’t end up in a tail spin when you concentrate on the tail ends!
Take care
Cathy
Cathy, I’ll try to keep my feet steady on the ground! 😆
