A few weeks ago our LBC group played with the topic of My First kiss, if only I had the following advice to hand, my efforts might have taken a different direction:
When Is It Okay To Kiss Someone?
- When they’re rich. – Pam, age 7
- The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn’t want to mess with that. – Curt, age 7
- The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It’s the right thing to do. – Howard, age 8
Moving on… the answer to this question really tickled my funny bone!
What Do Most People Do On A Date?
On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that Usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.– Martin, age 10
If that whetted your appetite there are plenty more here.
I’m on my way…
I thought you would be first in line. Enjoy!
I did! Thanks.
I too wish that I had had access to these gems when writing that LBC post!
We managed well for the blog post and in life, without the aid of the above advice!
Do you remember your first kiss? I do – I was nearly 13 and so surprised when it happened. Just a little peck and I remember like it was yesterday.
We wrote about ‘My First Kiss’ a few weeks ago, click the link above to read about mine!
When your wife says “I’m feeling very old today” (actually, it’s mandatory). Al – age 70
My husband used to say “I am as young as I feel!” He was right! 😆
Kids say the darndest things. 🙂 I’m enjoying things my grandkids tell me these days…before socialization takes hold.
Listen well, Alice, then maybe they will still share snippets as they grow older!
Martin got it right. The first time a boy kissed me I was 8 years old. I ran home and told my Mom i was pregnant. Years later, the boy, Larry apologized for grabbing me and kissing me when we were younger. Dianne.
Dianne, that is so funny. What did your Mom say?
Martin’s advice is brilliantly cynical – and probably more or less accurate.
I loved it!
These are great. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed them, Nancy.
Kids and to some extent even adults…
Especially on the last one, Cathy!
