T ~ Texture
- Chunky warm & cosy feel of a knitted garment
- Peeling paint, gives inspiration for a textural needle art wall hanging.
- Tweed Sample from a swatch colour blanket
- Rough texture of an aging tree
Chunky knitting, peeling paint, tweed & tree bark… four textures with great surface interest.
Add to that the smooth velvet like surface of the moss in the header picture above.
What can I say? Texture looks quite artistic, doesn’t it?
Alice, it does and I always want to stretch out my hand to touch it.
Lovely, lovely, you have a good eye, missus. I see little cards with the knitting – sent out to faraway friends. ahem.

Spent an hour earlier on, while sitting in the sun, talking stitches for knitting and crochet with my sister. Practical lessons of how to do them are on Wednesday!
On closer inspection the moss is textured too. I love mosses and ferns. Dianne
That particular, area has lovely moss. No doubt the dampness helps it to flourish.
Wonderful texture in knits, and nature, good to see, better to touch.
I love the feel of the crochet, it is a cardigan I am working on at the moment to keep me warm in the winter.
