Y ~ Yellow
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze……
~ Daffodils by William Wordsworth
What I need is the dandelion in the spring.
The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction.
The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses.
That it can be good again.
~ Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.
Beautiful photos of flowers…some of my favorites. Yes…even the dandelion! 😀
I love poetry. The first really touched my heart…
“For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.”
William Wordsworth I adore!
Just lovely.
I love the colour yellow in nature and Wordsworth;s words do it for me!
Yes! It does! I am going to use a soft yellow and soft green in my great room! With wainscoting and cream chair railing! My sun parlor is a soft peach with cream chair railing and below is a pretty soft green. The ceiling is arched and a very pale peach with a dark oak beam and the flooring is wide floor boards in light and dark oak!
I love soft colors…makes me feel happy! Yellow is a cheery color!!! 😀
Your decor sounds calming and delightful!
Such beautiful flowers! And I do remember that poem by Wordsworth. Lol.
gigi, I think we all learned Wordsworth’s Daffodils in school.
Those daffodils are gorgeous!
That photo is a reminder of a wonderful few days in Limerick in the month of March a couple of years ago.
yellow, my favourite…:)
