A night or two before I moved back to my old blogging home at Grannymar.com I let off steam about my frustration with jumping hurdles to comment on various blogs. I was particularly vocal about Blogs on the Blogger platform.
Karma has caught up on me.
WWW, wisewebwoman, a long standing visitor to my blog, and a friend that I have the bonus of meeting in real life, tells me that commenting, since the move, throws up a hurdle for her. WWW uses the Blogger platform.
I know that Mayo, finds it easier to leave a comment since my move, but he has no blog.
I am trying to sort out the problem, but wonder if any other regulars are finding it difficult to leave a comment?
If so, please let me know.
Okay, testing testing testing! Let’s see if this comment is published okay….
It worked Nick, but did you have to jump through hurdles?
No, no problem at all!
Thanks for the feed back, Nick. I don’t want to lose friends.
I’m here 🙂
Cathy
Great! I would hate to lose my friends.
Going to try with my blogger account
That worked from this end, any hurdles on the way?
No hiccups – email name and old blog name got me through
Great.
As someone who uses wordpress.com, I have absolutely no problem commenting on your present blog.
Good to hear Gigi!
Just trying it now – no problems.
Thanks, Tilly!
Checking it out.
You got here , Mary! How are you faring weather wise on your side of the hill? You are sending plenty rain today.
I logged out of WordPress.com, which had previously worked, and am now trying on just my exit78 credentials.
You made it , Mike. I’m beginning to wonder if it is a ‘cookies’ problem for my friend?
Trying again, GM – Oh noes, I see below I have to enter my full credentials yet again. 🙁
Apologies, WWW. Are cookies enabled on your browser? I think they need to be.
No problems. No hurdles.
Thanks, Nancy. All these answers are a great help.
I’ve tried coming at the post different ways to see if it made a difference, but it didn’t – no problems whatsoever encountered in being able to comment.
Thanks Liam, I appreciate that.
We can do this!
Yeah! Thanks speccy.
Just checking to see if it works for me. It wanted me to have a blog the last two times.
I hope it is sorted now, Frank.
Obviously, it’s working 🙂
That makes me happy! 😀
It’s never been a problem for me – but then, I’m dyed-in-the-wool WordPress.
Kate, I have to admit I’m a fan of WordPress.
I seem to have no problems commenting at your blog Grannymar
GFB, glad to hear it.
Trying without blog
Thank you Cathy, I am beginning to think it is a ‘cookie’ problem at WWW’s end.
That was just with a very old email address
Cathy
Thanks fro all the time and effort. It all helps. 😀
Just saying “hi” from blogger, I have to fill in three blanks to respond.
Thanks Celia, does this happen every time?
Five people with blogger blogs have responded, only two have bother.
Yes, but only two of the three blanks are required, email and name. Doesn’t seem to work with my google account, but that may be operator ignorance on my part.
Celia, are cookies enabled on your browser? I think they need to be. Worth a check.
Here’s a comment from an old fossil.
Hello stranger, :waves: Hope the ‘busy’ is going your way!
Thanks for the comment.
No problem.
Great to hear it, another positive reply, it all helps.
No problem, but then I have a WordPress account, which allows me to comment.
True, Judy, but you din’t use either URL, so perhaps that is why it was easy for you.
I’m just curious, so thought I’d leave a comment to see how it goes for me. I have captcha codes on mine because every time I disable them, I start getting spam comments. So let me see how yours works…..
Thank you, Delores,
Success! No problem except for having to re-enter my info this time.
This only seems to happen to folks with Blogger blogs.
