I only went out to buy a bag of peas. Honest!

Likely story…. π
Mike if they ever have to come and rescue me, they will know how heavy I am! π
These guys are all Retained (part-time) Firefighters, they do a wonderful job!
Yeah, the yellow pants — turnout clothing on a couple of them and the red vehicles were good indicators of that. I was on our local volunteer fire department for about 15 years.
I have the greatest respect for guys like these doing a days work and prepared to stop at any given moment to go and help others.
Be careful falling in front of the guys too often, they’re going to catch on! Hugs
Brighid, I am not a fallen woman all the time. I can say that last night I got picked up. Literally! π
I heard you were hot, but 8 fireman to put you out? Wow!
Al, That has to be comment of the week! Don’t tell my niece!
π I saw it!!
What did you do to end up in the arms of 8 strapping firemen??
DO Tell!! π
Asked for a photo with them. Honest!
Good one :-). There is a fire station across the road from work…. Must go here next time I’m in!
π
7! I’ve counted twice!!
Although maybe you’re counting the toe of the fireman just out of the picture on the right… But it could just be an odd shoe!
The toe was attached to another one, but you could not see him properly so I cropped him. There were more still arriving from all directions for their training session.
And there’s also the one taking the photo! That makes 9!!
Yes, and the one taking the photo was the only female in the crew!
There were eight.
One hiding though…
Only made it half way into the shot, so I cropped him.
Look for the shoes on the right.
I see them!
Good to see you getting the attention you deserve. Seven obviously besotted toyboys!
Nick, they were a fun bunch of guys!
GM,
I seldom make a serious comment but today I want to tell you about a wonderful service that our local Fire Department provides.
They know that when they have a serious house fire, the children of the family are more frightened of the firemen in their black gear and masks and tanks on their backs,etc.,. They sometimes find children under a bed or in a closet to get away from , not the fire, but the monstrous firemen.
So, to accustom children to what a fireman will look like if he ever has to come into your home to rescue you, our wonderful volunteers visit all the elementary schools in their full rescue gear. They let the kids see what they look like under all that equipment and the fear of the fireman goes away.
Isn’t that a great service to our community, and especially our little children?
The firemen make regular visits to the schools throughout the year bringing a fire engine with them for the children to climb on and helmets to wear etc. They also have an open day when you can bring children to visit the fire station. The children love it and talk about the visits for weeks afterwards. It also gives an opportunity for school projects around the subject of fires and safety issues.
That must have been a great experience. Nothing like that ever happens to me. Lol.
Gigi, it was fun.
Have you been dialing Al’s health exchange number?
No! Dianne, I do not work on that helpline either. π
The picture is GREAT. This comment thread is priceless! When you’re hot, you’re hot.
Tonight I am full of aches and pains like I am in for a flu! That will teach me to behave myself and act my age. π
Was that THE handknitted cardie? I’m the only one here with the right priorities π
WWW, Yes and no. I made the cardie, no pattern, but it is crochet. Lovely & warm for this weather.
There you go with your toyboys again π
Tilly, the Toyboys are better than a bottle of pills. Any day!
π
Some girls have all the luck….
All I did was say hello! π
Well look at you! You know how to have fun, my dear! I can see you’re very shy. LOL!
Debra, this life is a one way journey, so I intend having a diet of fun & laughter!
Man, that must have been some outing! What were you doing in a fire station?
I did not go inside, just read the comments.
