An ‘S’ or a ‘5’

Who tried to bite me on Saturday night as I was in a deep sleep. Deep sleep being a new phenomenon for me.

Is that an S or a 5

Is that the letter S or a number 5

Did the culprit sneak off into the night.

Is it part of the reason I was awoken at 05:10 hours to the sound of my house alarm screeching through the neighbourhood?

Did the driving rain, remnants of ‘Bertha’ pushing northwards from our friends in Hawaii cause my alarm to roar?

In my dopey state, I switched it off, and went back to bed, but sleep eluded me until about 07:00. Thankfully on Sunday. a day of heavy rain, I had no reason to leave my comfortable home.

I may well have bumped my hand earlier in the day. Bruises are slow to show up, sometimes up to a week later.

Maybe you knocked your hand and it only became evident in the morning.

Do hope you woke from that extra bit of sleep feeling as tho you could take on the world

Yes, Cathy, it was probably a bump while working in the kitchen. I fell asleep around seven a.m., but woke an hour later feeling dopey. A shower, soon sorted me out!

ME? John, I would not have the punch to hurt a fly. Not a little old lady like me. 😉

Nah, Dianne, I have had shingles, twice before in my life and both occasions they were on my torso and PAINFUL.

Pounding rain will wake me up. I do not mind thunder and lightening, so long as I am indoors. Mixing metal hips and lightening are not a good idea.

Gigi, I live on a hill, so just watch the rain run down the road. There were flash floods in several places throughout Ireland and on the UK Mainland.

Brighid, these days just thinking about the word ‘bruise’ is enough to leave me looking like I went fifteen rounds with a prize fighter. Last time I went to Dublin, I brought only long sleeves.
