Who Made The World ~ Cast Bronze
Sculptor ~ Cliodna Cussen
On my way to the Craft Beer & Cider Festival in Dublin’s RDS, last week, I discovered this beauty outside The Herbert Park Hotel.
Cliodna Cussen was born and educated in Co. Limerick. She attended third level education in Dublin and Florence and is presently based in Dublin and Kerry.
She works as a full-time sculptor using mostly bronze and stone.
Cliodna does graphic work in the Graphic Studio Dublin and she also illustrates and publishes Irish Children’s Stories.
She has exhibited widely and won a number of awards for her work, including the Listowel Gold Medal for sculpture and the sculpture prize at the Oireachtas.
Do you think They found the answer?
They sure seem to be kicking some ideas around to find the answer!
Looks to me like the armchair generals have fallen down on the job!
Looks like they’re laying down on the job.
Nancy, that’s men for you! 😉
All men? Really…I don’t think so. God is watching and she is not pleased!
The four people in the sculpture looked like men to me.
I love it when you post photos of the sculptures in your country. Awesome!
I have a few more in my files, I must get back to posting about them.
All men? What happened to Mother Earth? Or maybe she’s struck them all down. I like that thought.
😆 Hold that thought, WWW!
This is a fabulous sculpture, GM. Still, men holding up the world, hmm…
blessings ~ maxi
Nah, Maxi, Just men doing what they do best: Lie about pretending to sort out the BIG questions!
It seems to me that one of them has long hair and is therefore female. So it’s both men and women holding up the world. Personally, I think I’d soon get bored with holding up the world and just let it roll away wherever it pleases.
Lol! Nick, where have you been for the last twenty years? There are more men than women with long hair these days 😉 Guys like that seldom solve anything, so keep your feet well and truly on the ground!
Man bashing! Yikes! Nice sculpture though. As to holding things up, well lifting a pint is good exercise and probably less stressful than the world. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Sláinte, Shackman! A better idea altogether
