What have I been up to?

Posting has been very light over the last week or so. Life has been busy.

You know I was decorating my bedroom AND the radio!

Since then, I have watched the paint fall of the wall. Really!

Did the paint fall off

Maybe this is the reason for the colour change:

This might be the reason

It actually givesa very comfortable and restful light effect.

One dark & dreary wet day, I finished the base fabric for another project. The exciting part might happen next week. 😀

Wednesday was glorious.with blue skies and sunshine, so I headed to Carrickfergus. Sitting at the mouth of Belfast Lough, you can smell the sea!

What is that chap up there doing?

He has me in his sight

Looks like he has me in his sight.

The latest Toyboy in my life – Peter Pumpkin – He was finished at 6am, yesterday morning. He is sitting on my spectacles case, so that gives you an idea of his size!

Not bad for a first attempt.

Yes, Elly. I hear you!

    Very cute!!!
I wasn’t talking about your absence though, your website was down? A ‘come back later’ notice was in its place. I should have taken a photo!! Glad it’s all back now xxx

Barbara, I was working out the back and forgot to reopen the doors when I finished. Today I am having difficulty commenting on my own blog and facebook. Hopefully it is only a temporary situation (3rd time to try)

While updating it was in maintenance mode – available to me, but not to the outside viewer. Maybe that was why I didn’t notice.

Go to Dashboard, under that you should see Updates with a number after it IF there are plugin updates. Click on it and it shows which plugins need updating. I bet that is as clear as mud!!!!

I imagine Elly will want at least half a dozen for next years Halloween decorations. Peter Pumpkin was gifted to a friend yesterday, but I do have plenty of yarn in the right colours to make some more.

He is quite small, ideal for a kitchen window ledge, I used US size 5 needles. (Karen will translate).

Still have some finishing touches to add. I needed to take time away from it for a week or so. I will get back to it soon. You know how it is, one job leads to another. I am in no hurry, so there is no problem.

Years ago, I would have finished it in a day.Now I cannot keep painting for that long in one stretch. I would become paint blind and exhausted. I also have to watch my back pain. I refuse to give in to others doing it for me. Even at this stage, I have a great sense of achievement.

Brighid, it will come back. You have your hands full right now with a very important task. Give it time!

I’m wondering about the recipient for the soft yellow blankie. Or maybe it’s just to keep Peter warm at night when you turn out the light?

The pumpkins are wonderful for a short evening project, I made another one last night, it now only needs the stalk and face details added.

I love the header photo, I took it in Graiguenamanagh about four years ago. Today I extended my table to begin working on my ‘yellow’ project, I still have along way to go. I know what I want, but getting there is a different story.

BHB, some weeks I get more done than others. Heavy rain promised from tonight through Friday, so I may get time to work on the yellow piece.
