Not the kind that tingles in your arms or legs.
The kind you sew with.
Elly heard me bleat about knocking over my pin box on many an occasion, as I scrambled about on hands and knees trying to retrieve them.
When she came at the weekend, she had a little surprise for me. I like Elly’s surprises!
I resurrected my Flip camera to give you a little demonstration, mind you, it is so long since I used it that I almost forgot how it worked!
If you wish to have a go the ingredients necessary are:
A dish with a deep recess on the underside.
Sugru.
Strong magnet/s.
WARNING: Keep the strong magnets well away from mobile phones, bank & credit cards and from pacemakers.
YES, Of course. Magnets! Why didn’t I think of that?
But keep them away from you cell phone and bank cards, BHB!
Wonderful idea . . . and loved listening to your voice on the demo tape.
Oh, I hadn’t run that tape. Your accent isn’t so Irish as before. With worldwide communication & TV, I’ve noticed that here in the U.S.. Southerners had a STRONG accent but now their children don’t.
BHB, maybe you are more accustomed to my voice after many years
Those dishes will be very handy when working on sewing projects. As for the voice,,, it is ageing like the rest of me! 😆
BTW ~ I love that new shot in your header. What an intriguing portal.
Nancy, I have written about The Cockle House in the past, perhaps before we became acquainted.
I have one of those magnet pin/needle/small metal bits holder – but one, given to me in a xmas exchange one year…it’s not as large as yours but then again it’s useful particular when a pin gets away from the pack…
My dish is large, because we chose from dishes I had, that were suitable to take the magnet in the underside recess.
what a clever bunch you are.. c
Oops! Celi I found you in the in the spam basket, I hope nobody was sticking pins in you!
