Life is a train of moods like a string of beads; and as we pass through them they prove to be many coloured lenses, which paint the world their own hue, and each shows us only what lies in its own focus.
–Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thanks, I posted it on Facebook. We only see what we want to see.
Gerlinde, I keep a long list of quotes I like and dip into them to use for these Sunday posts. Last November, I lined up about six to fill the weeks to the end of the year. Since I was away last week and unable to connect to the internet, they helped fill the void.
Good old Ralph, I knew him well…a very perceptive thought.
I have several of his thoughts in my collection.

what a delectable quote, visual words…thanks
You are welcome, Cathy!

Oh, this is lovely, Grannymar, and makes me want to head as fast as possible to my own copy of Emerson. Such a wise and measured man. Thank you: and may your new year be full of the small happinesses which make life wonderful.
Kate, how true, it is the little things in life that matter most!
