If I was always better than the person I was yesterday, given my age I should be a perfect saint by now. Something must have gone wrong though because I don’t feel any wiser or more mature than I was 40 years ago.
I like this one, we have something to look forward to …..getting better. At our age we know that it is not our bodies that are getting better so we have to look for something else.
That is very easy to do. But being better than the person I was the day before yesterday will take some doing! 🙂
Ramana, you can live in hope!

Come on St Nick, you old devil! Do you mean, I imagined that halo above your head?

Gerlinde, like good wine, we improve with age!
But what if I’m already at peak perfection?
You know, like Mary Poppins => “practically perfect in every way” 😛
Nancy, you may be perfect, I have a long way to catch up!
Somehow I suspect you’re way ahead of me.
No way Nancy, I am human with plenty of faults.
I give up. I’ll just be content with being thet person I was yesterday.
BHB, just stay as sweet as you are.
Oh, I wish I was. It’s easy to be grumpy with the aches & pains of age. Right now I have a pulled muscle behind my shoulder that won’t go away. OUCH
BHB, pain seems to be the price we pay for the fun we had when we were young! I hope you heal quickly.
Profound thought!
Dianne, it is something to strive for.
