A day of bright sunshine
Glinting on my Autumn Glory
And the Love of my life, my anam cara by my side.
Was it really thirty eight years ago?
We were given twenty years,
But looking at that photo, I am back on that day
And still thirty in my head!
There might be wine tonight!
What a lovely picture! I see that red hair runs in Barbara’s family.
Only Barbara and I were ‘red heads’ though my brothers, when they dabbled with facial hair, produced red sideburns or beards. The ‘red’ skipped a generation, it came from my maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother. Mine was always much darker than Barbara’s crowning glory.
Wow!
Thank you!
You look lovely Marie and so does your Jack, beaming happiness!! Cheers when you open that wine!!
The good times are worth remembering and celebrating!
Celebrate the love. Yes!

Nancy, I try to begin every day with a good memory.
You both look wonderfully happy!
We were, Nick and it lasted all the way through.
What a lovely happy photo and memory. We will raise a glass in your honour, albeit a day or two late. ๐
I did not drink a whole bottle of wine last night so I will join you in a toast to friends and love, tonight.
We raised a glass to friends and to love this evening when we came in from the theatre. ๐
The term Drop-dead gorgeous” springs to mind. That is a pic of a very happy lady. Thanks for sharing.
๐ shackman, you are a charmer! I never stopped smiling for all the time we were together, some might say I walked around with a great big grin on my face.
What a lovely photo to remember your husband by.
Aloha from Hawaii.
Thank you Gigi!
Oh Boy ! … What is it about Irish girls ? … Just lovely … Shame about the knees though … ๐
“What is it about Irish girls?”, you ask, John. Simple we are Irish! All the rain made my hair go rusty!!!
What a wonderfully happy day! I love this photo, Marie, and I am really glad you shared it. I hope you had a lovely glass of wine and toasted some very special memories. ox
Debra the wine bottle is finally empty. As I said to a friend the other day: Good memories are the ‘Ready Brek’ of our days … they warm the cockles of our hearts!
I’m so glad you took the time to celebrate (honor) a happy marriage, Marie.
