And don’t I know it.
On this National Poetry Day, the airwaves are filled with the great, the good and the small reading their favourite poems.
Not to be outdone I share an attempt from a few years ago where I meddled with wurds about:
Go on, have a giggle at my expense!
Why? It is better than anything that I can come up with!
Not sure I ever read any of your own poetry, more used to you quoting others. Now that might be an idea for the LBC – ‘A poem of your own’!
as long as you are happy, the tablecloth poem is just fine 🙂
It was purely for fun and worked with the story.
I’m a poet and I know it.
Hope I don’t blow it.
I’m good at verse.
Crisp and terse.
It’s a talent I nurse.
Nicely done, Nick!
Wonderful “shawl” to air Ellie!
It was ideal for Elly, she disliked having her arms or legs wrapped up. A free spirit from day one!
How lovely. The verse and the connections from the past and the day itself make me feel happy. Keep up your poetry. Just discovered a new blog I like. Called: The Weaver of Grass. She mentioned Natiional Poetry Day. Thanks so much for sharing.
I must try and check that blog out. I have been very busy offline these last few weeks so little time for posting right now.
