10th of November.

A time of the year when I would normally be found deep in layers of warm clothes.

An hour before sunrise the temperature was 16°C and felt even warmer.

The winter layers are ready, fuel for the fire stacked high, but in the meantime… soft rain or not, I will go a wandering, sure as daddy would have said:

“It is good for the completion”!

Today would have been his 104th Birthday.

Clare, can you see your Dan in his Irish Grandfather?

Ramana, the seasons are all mixed up. The winds forecast for us in the next few days might shake it all up.

WWW, I think I prepared with plenty of layers. I am adding to the freezer as I go along, and plenty to entertain me during the long evenings.

Having just read your post about the dowry, I’m delighted to see a photo of your father. What a handsome, striking man, Marie. I’m glad you have all that wood stacked and ready to go. Winter is sure to come!

We have been warned: Storm Abigail, the first storm to be officially named by the Met Office, is due. Time to batten down the hatches…

changeable weather here as well, although the last few days like summer with just enough of chill/warmth to have you thinking “put away all the winter stuff”

Cathy, you are putting away the winter wardrobe while we are dusting it off in readiness for regular daily wear.
