An answer for Celi

Celi at The Kitchens Garden, has issued a challenge to her huge following who read, comment or become part of the Farmy Fellowship: The deal is to post an image of where we write their posts, our comments and responses.

In my case it varies like Irish weather, I no longer have a fixed desk. In winter it is normally in my living room where I can see and warm my tootsies by the open fire.

At the other end of the L shaped room is my dining table and if I need to use my printer, that is where I work.

In the preparation for hip replacement back in 2009, I purchased a bed table on castors. It has become the most used piece of furniture in my house. I can move it from room to room as I wish, the castors on the base frame slide in under my bed and allows me to type away to my hearts content without the weight on my legs.

When cooking or baking, I can access my recipe folder on the laptop by wheeling the laptop through to join me. It sits neatly under the counter top until I need to check something.

My corner for several weeks now has been in a comfortable armchair near the window for the light and surrounded by my latest crochet project – More on that another day.

        Can’t seem to email you. It says failed to send. What I wanted to say was;
I was wondering if you had ever had your table appraised? I had almost that exact table, but it was lost in a move. I often wish for it back and wonder how much it was worth. – I hope this message finds you well!

Jeremy, the photos above show three tables. The bed table with the laptop on it, the one with the yarn on it, and to the right a circular yellow one with a beaker on it. The last two have lived with me for about forty years, are there because I like them and have no interest in their monetary value.

Ugh, I am sorry I wasn’t more specific! The title of the post I should have commented on was the “Shapely Legs” post. My query was in regards to the elephant table with the ivory. 🙂

Jeremy, the post about the elephant table tells the story of how it came into my possession. It means a great deal to me but I have no interest or clue about monetary value.

No way am I taking a photo my messy desk. Love your afghan, and your wonderful ability with color placement. Can hardly wait to see the finished piece.

Brighid if you look closely you will find yourself in there. More photos when the piece is finished.

Being on my own has good and bad points… I can spread myself as much as I wish but there is nobody about to be a reason to tidy up! 🙁

It’s perfect. A comfortable chair, a movable table, supplies and TV remote to hand and a radiator close by for warmth. I’d enjoy your workspace too!

In wintertime while sitting in that chair I can see the fire flickering brightly, feel cosy and never quite alone.

I would love a table on casters – such a brilliant piece to have. I write at a stock standard table. Think its time to change things up a bit. Your pup is gorgeous too.
    Have a happy day.

Buffy the dog in the header belongs to my daughter. The photo was taken on one of her visits to me. A small basket of her toys waits by the fireside for her arrival.

You have a nice system for all of your creative works! I like the look of your cosy corner, Marie. Once you sit down you must get comfortable and I can imagine how much knitting and crocheting you’d get done. Good for you!

Debra, when I get stuck into craft work either in this chair or at the dining table (sewing) I get lost in the project and forget my aches& pains or that I am alone.

A photo of my PC would be very boring, it’s on a very functional table in a corner of my study. But sometimes i write my blog posts by hand somewhere else in the house. And for looking at my blog and answering comments, I sometimes use Jenny’s iPad. I wish I could say something more exciting like “I often write my blog posts sitting on the roof” but I’d be lying.
